Ricardo VillalobosやLuciano, Pier Bucci, Francisco Allendesなどきら星のごとく才気あふれるアーティストを輩出しつづける南米チリ。熱心なダンスミュージックファンを多く抱え、日本にも通じるような熱いダンスミュージックシーンを持つかの地で、今コアなフリークから絶大な信頼を勝ち得ているアーティストがRodrigo Lafferttだ。
チリ南部の町、コンセプシオンを拠点に南米全土やヨーロッパまでその名前をとどろかす注目のアーティストである。１９９９年よりエレクトロニック音楽のプロデューサーと
してのキャリアを積み重ねてきたRodrigo Lafferttは１０年の間、“DNW Records” “London Music” “Andes Music” など数々のレーベルより音楽をリリースし続けることで自身の優れた才能と能力を世界に示してきた。昨年、２００９年
には彼のアーティストとしての人気を証明するかのごとく、複数の賞を獲得。Jhabas Awards の“Best DJ from regions of Chile”（チリ出身ベストDJ）や、“Best Chilean Musical Producer2009”(２００９年度ベストチリ人音楽プロデューサー)にもノミネートされるなど充実の年を経験。
また2010年春には”Parties for Peace”主催によるDJコンテスト”PATAGONICA”においても見事優勝を果たし、ここ日本での来日ツアーが決定した。
