Surya, The worlds first Ecological venue was first launched in 2008 as Club Surya By Businessman Andrew Charalambous.
Hosting the Club4Climate Event was one of many events held at the club, With performances from Renowned DJ's such as Selecta and acts including Coldcut, Surya has and will always be a venue with a difference. The venue attracted lots of positive media attention worldwide through its ecological credentials and innovative approach to clubbing. Our debut opening attracted Celebrities, Journalists and Enviromentalist's Worldwide
So whats so different about Surya compared to other Venues?
Well for a start the venue relies on the solar panels and wind turbine on the roof for a large portion of its power requirments, Feeding any excess back into the residential part of the building. Our venue also benefits from waterless urinals, Low Energy Li-ion powered Taps, Low Energy Hand dryers and Low Flush Toilets, saving many gallons of water per day, whilst not compromising on hygiene. The venue is built from many renewable materials from the steel structure, the marble Floors and worktops right down to the reclaimed wood. We also have a dedicated lift for patrons with mobility difficulties.
