Hot X (Tibor Horváth) was born in Sopron, Hungary, in 1972. In the early 90’s he was already performing as a DJ, at MIG 15 club, playing mainly EBM and rock at that time, like nine inch nails, sisters of mercy etc…. In 1995, with his brother Attila and friend Akos Kiss, they took over the club MÍG 15. With their management, this was the first club in Western Hungary where house and techno tracks were played in public. In 1996 HOT X (with his partners Attila Horváth, and Ákos Kiss) founded Deadcode Production, and organized the first Hyperspace in Sopron. This date established itself as a historical moment in the Hungarian techno scene. Due to its great and ever-growing popularity, the party series moved to Budapest in 1998, to the now legendary building of PATEX. In 2000 PATEX 2, then a year later COMPLEX became the next locations of the event. From December 2004, HYPERSPACE-, which was by then the greatest party series of Hungary, moved to a new venue, the EVENTS HALL in Budapest. HYPERSPACE, with the management of HOT X and DEADCODE has grown to be the trend-forming and leading event of the whole Hungarian techno scene throughout the years. Since the formation of Deadcode, Hot X has been in charge of the artistic management; it is mainly him who decides on the line up as well as the design of the event. Thanks to the promoter work of Hot X and Deadcode, world-wide renown artists have performed for the Hungarian audiences at the HYPERSPACE parties, such as SVEN VATH, RICHIE HAWTIN, THE ADVENT, LUKE SLATER, CHRIS LIEBING, T.RAUMSCHMIERE, DJ RUSH, MARCO CAROLA, MISS KITTIN, TIGA, CRISTIAN VOGEL, JOHANNES HEIL, CLAUDE YOUNG, ADAM BEYER, CARI LEKEBUSH , ALEXANDER KOWALSKI , HEIKO LAUX., RICHARD BARTZ….. etc. Parallel to his promoter path, Hot X’ DJ career has launched too; from 1997 he is continuously playing at the greatest clubs and festivals of Hungary, as well as performing abroad (AUSTRIA, SLOVAKIA, SLOVENIA, CROATIA, CZECH REPUBLIC, PORTUGAL, SPAIN , ITALY, JAPAN ). He is still the most sought-after techno DJ of Hungary. The international attention is getting stronger on him too – he was and still is the only Hungarian DJ ever to play at the open air ’Grand Finale’ of the Viennese LOVE PARADE, and its official after-party, the ’Love Nation’. After a compilation album (HOT X vs CHRIS ESYCHO: HYPERSPACE) Hot X’ first mix album, together with Igor Do’Urden, titled HYPERSPACE 2000, was released in Austria, in 2000. In the same year, 2000, after a few years’ experience he decided to form his own label, Deadcode Records, the very first techno label of Hungary. HOT X’ EP, titled eleven –O -one was released on this label in the beginning of 2004, with remixes by such renown producers as THE ADVENT and WLA GARCIA. His latest EP titled HX was released in April 2005, and it was nr#1 in the sales list on the internet record-store www.djshop.de . Hot X’ latest mix CD was published in July as cover mount issue of the Hungarian FREEE Magazine. The key to Hot X’ success as a DJ and as a producer is the same for both: dance oriented electronic music, from techno to electro. Since the turn of the millennium Hot X’ and Deadcode’s leading position in the Hungarian techno scene has grown steadier than ever. Hot X and Deadcode Production are in charge of the electronic music program of the Europe-famous SZIGET Festival, since 2003, together with the Budapest Parade Bonusz, the official after party of the Budapest Parade.
