Masanori Ikeda
In early 1990s, Masanori Ikeda started his career as a DJ. After having a weekend residency at the legendary club, Wag in London, he came back to Japan and moved his base of activity to Tokyo. After that, he started his production career. As Mansfield and other alias such as his own name, Masanori Ikeda, he has released numerous albums and 12 Inch singles.
Right now, he has been regularly djing in the weekends rocking the floor at main clubs in Japan and overseas, mixing across the board dance music, spinning, obscure electro house and trancy disco, etc., playing them in 120 bpm. Late 2007, through Flower Records, he released a 12 Inch single of a cover of famed Ibiza Balaeric classic by William Pitt, City Lights which generated healthy sales at digital sites such beatport, etc.
This year, he released a brand new style official mix cd called New Balaeric House and garnered critical acclaim from all over. In Sept., he plans to release a chill out mix CD called Silent Dream 2 mixed by Masanori Ikeda, which will include carefully selected classic tracks from the Flower Records catalogue and will re-edit them and mix it.
