The Next Offline Meet-up in April is All About First-Thing-To-Do When Making Music, with Three Presenters - GO HIYAMA, Svan Code and KATIE S
Spring is a great time to start something new but some of you may be wondering how to start making music.
The theme of the April Ableton Meetup Tokyo is "The First Thing to Do When Making Music” and three speakers will share their approaches to make music.
Returning for the third time, GO HIYAMA, a techno and environment sound producer, created a track for this event using only Suite built-in devices and will deconstruct and explain where he gets his inspiration from and how he puts it into sound to create his music.
Kohei Machida, who became an Ableton Certified Trainer last year, is a DJ and producer under the name Svan Code. He will share his approach to making music which includes a strategy for releasing music and preparing a reference track for the strategy.
Artist/DJ Katie Se7en, who will appear for the first time, will talk about 'The secret of giving shape to your ideas, in Katie's way'. She will share her way of coming up with ideas and how to title them first.
At this meet-up, Teenage Engineering will be exhibiting at the "Touch & Try" corner, where you can touch and feel the latest gears. The gears are OP-1 Field, a new synthesizer, TX-6, a small mixer and OB-4, a magic radio which allows you to scratch and loop radio sounds.
Ableton Meetup Tokyo does NOT require pre-registrations so feel free to come, and students can get half-price entrance fees if they bring their student ID card. Let's celebrate the OHANAMI season when sakuras bloom and the weather gets warmer.
