King Tone was born in Brooklyn, NY. Being born and growing up through the 70's, 80's and 90's, King Tone has been exposed to over four decades of music. Starting his DJ career in 1986 as a student of the legendary DJ Afrika Bambaataa (one of the architects of Hip Hop culture), King Tone has been heavily influenced by his DJ'ing style. Known as "The Master Of Records", Afrika Bambaataa was known for his knowledge of a wide and diverse range of popular music.

DJ King Tone is now an internationally known professional DJ, playing regular engagements in the states and Hawaii, as well as throughout Asia (having played such locations as Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Shanghai, and Beijing). Known for his ability to cater to a large and diverse range of music lovers, King Tone has himself become a master of records, and is sure to rock a party for people aged 8 to 80, blind, crippled, or crazy!
