Birthday　1978. 6/22　：　東京都出身

96年よりDJ活動を始め、今や日本を代表するR&B DJ/Producerとして知られる彼。
歌物の純粋な伸びやかさを大切にしたDJスタイルに加え、
空間を包み込むように彩るその包容力に、老若男女問わない絶大な人気を一身に集めてきた。
01年からはClub HARLEMにて、自身がレジデントDJを務めるR&Bパーティー「APPLE PIE」をスタート。
10年目を迎えた現在ではHARLEM屈指のビックパーティーとしオーディエンスを沸かせている。
他にも都内レギュラーイベントを始めとし、全国各地のクラブイベント、企業イベント、
さらには、神戸コレクションのサウンドプロデュースなど
年間150本以上にも渡る超多忙な現場スケジュールをこなす。

また、数多くのMIXCDをリリースする中、彼の代名詞的作品「Monthly Fruits」は、
日本のDJシーンに多大な影響を与えると共に、一大ムーブメントを巻きおこし、
「R&B DJ」という新たなカルチャーを生みだした。
他にも、Manhattan Records×DJ KOMORIのストリート最強コラボが
実現したMIXCD「Manhattan Records "The Exclusives"-R&B Hits!!-」は、
vol.1が3万枚、vol.2はなんと4万枚以上のセールスを叩き出し初のオリコン
インディーズチャート1位を獲得。一躍メジャーシーンにDJ KOMORIの名を轟かせた。
09年4月には、vol.3のリードシングルとしてfeatに、あの"Faith Evans"を迎え、
新曲「Loves Doors」を発表。このタイトルでも前作に引続きオリコンインディーズチャート1位を獲得！
さらには、今年10月にリリースした最新タイトル「The Exclusive 2000-2010 DECADE HITS」では、
リードシングルに"Mya"をfeatし新曲「ALIVE」を発表。
レコチョク洋楽デイリーチャートにて7日間連続で着うた1位、着うたフル1位、
さらにはウィークリーも1位を獲得し、「レコチョク3冠」を達成し、
業界に衝撃を与えると共にR&Bファンの注目を大いに集めた。

インディーレーベル以外にもメジャーレコード会社からも数多くの作品をリリースする傍ら、
Faith Evans、TLC、Mya、Ashanti、JaySean、Lil' Eddie、etc..といった海外のアーティストの
楽曲プロデュースから青山テルマや日之内エミ、山口リサ、KEN THE 390といった邦楽プロデュースまで
幅広く手掛け、プロデューサーとしてもバイタリティ溢れた活動を続けている。

DJ Komori, who started Djing in 1996, is one of the most critically
acclaimed R&B DJs and music producers in Japan, even among the major
labels.He has gained popularity with fans of all ages for his DJ style,
which respects the pure harmony of R&B music, and for his versatility, which
gives his sets their unique, atmospheric sound. He’s organized what is now
the biggest R&B party in Tokyo, “Apple Pie” at Club Harlem in Shibuya,
which has been running monthly since 2001. Now arguably the hottest party,
the club is filled to capacity and the attendees’ anticipation for his
highly-anticipated sets is electric. In addition to regular parties in Tokyo
he also tours an average of 150 dates a year, all over the country. His
schedule is unmatched. His phenomenal mix CD series “Monthly Fruits” has
had a large influence on the DJ scene in Japan, and has created a huge
movement, giving rise to the new culture of “R&B DJ”.

His first mix CD of the series "The Excllusive-R&B Hits", a co-release with
Manhattan Records, has sold 30k. His second has sold more than 40k and
reached first place on the Oricon Indie chart. His third CD of the series,
"Loves Doors", featured Faith Evans on the lead single, and also reached
first place on the Oricon chart in April 2009, gaining him even more fans.
Also in 2009: “Urban Klassics” (UK R&B mix series) , “Exclusive Mix”
(Tsutaya Records), “V.I.P.” (EMI Music/Monster Compilation), and “The
Exclusive X’mas Hits” (Manhattan Records), which featured Ryan Leslie’s
blue-eyed boy Krys Ivory, and which covered Dreams Come True’s biggest hit
number “Winter Song”, and was top of the pops and stole the show.

In addition to his critically acclaimed mix CD releases, and activities as a
highly demanded top DJ in the scene, he has produced overseas big names such
as Faith Evans, TLC, Ashanti, Jay Sean, Stevie Hoang and Tynisha Keli, and
also has worked with domestic artists such as Teruma Aoyama, Sweep and Risa
Yamaguchi. DJ Komori is tremendously popular now and in fact still has been
rising in popularity.
