Miss Higgins DIY is an avant-garde artist from London, England. In her early twenties she spent 5 years living in Paris as part of electro-hop duo Seasons Shifters with circuit bending artist Tom Toy (albums: A Rainbow Of Revolutions: Please Colour In; and II). In 2009 Miss Higgins DIY was born, touring a one-man band act with a pre-programmed and live loop pedal, kaosillator, electric violin + distortian pedal, costumes and toys to sample. Performing solo shows at venues including Point Ephemere, Les Disquares and Cafe de de la Musique in Paris and various festivals, including SLICK contemporary art fair.
Also while in Paris she collaborated with Point Ephemere residents Control Club and Senegalese Griot Kora player, Babou Diebate, with a residency at Pan African venue Saraaba.
Miss Higgins DIY returned to the UK in 2010, playing London venues such as The Windmill and The Barbican before forming Om Marichi Mum Swaha, a pyschedelic jam band with art guitarist Rob Owens and profilic Creation Records drummer Dave Morgan.
