I' ve been playing records, deejaying if you like ever since I witnessed Grandmixer DST on the television cutting up 'Change The Beat' over Rockit, you do the maths how long that is. Basically my love and fascination for music started at a very young age but it was the Hip Hop movement which kick started in the the early 80' s that my love of buying and playing records to an audience began.
Playing to an audience (other than the usual Hip Hop budz) really began with a gig in The Long Ship (Stevenage) in 86/87 being my first break, from there momentum gathered with various local guests spots Splashh @ Tudor Oaks and for legendary Eclipse crew based in Cambridge playing mainly at The Corn Exchange and the odd huge outdoor rave always playing in the erm Balearic or Chill Out Room as it was known back then and various guest spots at so called Balearic doos in and around the Cambridge area.
Clubwise I cut my teeth so to speak alongside one Andrew Weatherall at his seminal Deep House evening BloodSugar where I was resident alongside Alex Knight (Fat Cat Records) for a year a half before it was decided to end the club, on a high.
