Tim Red started DJing in the early 90s inspired by the acid house movement that had been sweeping the nation and developed a fresh techno-edged house sound (later to be called tech-house). Loving the parties of that time but wanting to shape the scene and be a real part of house history, in 1997 he started running exclusive warehouse and studio parties around the Shoreditch area of London called armadillo which attracted a clientele of clued-up party people.
The parties were embraced by the London crowd and it wasn’t long before Tim (and his DJ partner Luke vB) were offered a night at London’s best nightclub, The End. Tim and Luke ran the night Blonde in the AKA part of the club for 8 years until the club sadly closed its doors (and an era of house history) in 2008.
Blonde was known as one of the friendliest and most relaxed evening affairs in London and consequently, became an institution.
