Born and raised in London, UK., I grew up listening to an eclectic selection of music. My circle was deeply in to music as well as all of the people that I grew up around. It was always a big part part of the local community. The styles I grew up listening to ranged from anything including Reggae and Rock, to Jungle and Hip-Hop. Some particular influences for me from early on were: LTJ Bukem, Daft Punk, Sasha, Jeff Mills, Green Velvet, Grooverider. So as you can see, I listened to a lot of really quite varied stuff.
Although I still listen to many of these today, the stuff I love the most is Techno, House and Drum & Bass. On this site, I've linked some of the most recent sets that I've performed over the last couple of years. I'm especially happy with the most recent months' mixes, so please check them out. The stuff that I play tends to vary from start to finish as I like to take the crowd on an unpredictable journey. Sometimes I'll play earlier in the evening, and other times later at night. This of course also changes the mood of the set overall so there are some hard mixes as well as some more chillaxed stuff. Please browse through and you're bound to find something that you like.
I started playing out in the late 1990's in the east end of London. In particular, I was a resident at BLUU, No. 1 Hoxton Square (Formerly the Bluu Note Jazz Cafe) for a few years, as well as making regular guest appearances in other clubs in the area like Electric Showrooms, 93 Feet East, Mother Bar and 333, Herbal, The Dragon Bar, etc. I was especially involved in the house music scene of those days and despite the rise of trendy retro DJ's at the time, adamantly stuck to what I loved and believed in.
More recently, I moved to Tokyo, Japan and have been continuing my DJing here. A more difficult crowd to please with more acute tastes, playing in Tokyo has not proved itself easy. However, with regards to the high level of craftsmanship that you compete with in Japan, I have certainly matured in my mixing style in order to try to stay in the game.
