As a graduate of FBI Radio’s prestigious Dance Class mentorship program, Ellie Locke is a young, enthusiastic musician. Together with Andy Garvey, Kali, Jac Frier, and other Sydney female DJs, she is a driving force in promoting and encouraging women to become involved in dance music culture.

She has played at various events in Sydney such as FBI SMAC Awards at the Carriageworks, Picnic Social at Harpoon Harry’s, Community Service and Charades/Something Else events at the Burdekin Hotel, and Vibe Positive’s “Full Bloom” party at Marrickville’s infamous ‘Sashimi’ warehouse. She has played interstate at ANU Bar and the Mandalay bus in Canberra (ACT). After recently moving to Tokyo, she supported V Movement’s showcase at the prestigious Circus Tokyo.

While her record collection consists of all sorts, from Jazz, Funk, Disco, Ambient and Breaks, her passion lies within the realms of House, Techno and Minimal, with all that comes in between. Her focus is on dance music with a highly percussive feel, deep kick, soulful vocals and smooth melodies. Whether is be Minimal, Electro, Acid, Breakbeat, Techno or classic Deep House, she can easily adapt to the mood of the crowd at each event. Ellie is utterly satisfied maintaining a crowd full of smiles, bobbing heads and moving feet.
