From TikTok to Tomorrowland: AMAX & Toska Unite for a Dance Floor Weapon

When Australia’s hard techno heavyweight AMAX stumbled upon a viral TikTok reel by Singapore’s rising star Toska, the last thing he expected was the beginning of an international collaboration. But when the beats align, the internet listens and so do the DJs. What started as posting memes on Tiktok about 'Fetty Wap' JBL speaker evolved into a collaboration between styles and a high-energy, genre-defying banger: “Tunnel Vision (AMAX Remix)” was born.

We caught up with both artists to dive deeper into the collaboration that’s making waves from Melbourne to Tomorrowland.

How did this collaboration even come together?

AMAX: I was creating some Tik Tok memes about Fetty Wap (a total throwback for laughs), and they started blowing up. I kept tagging #JBL and #JBLAustralia, and the algorithm did its thing. It recommended a clip of Toska previewing the original version of Tunnel Vision. I saw the potential instantly and slid into his DMs for a demo.

Toska: That’s the power of TikTok, man. I wasn’t expecting my preview to land like that. But once AMAX reached out, it clicked. He came in with this intense energy and vision for the remix completely elevated the track.

What inspired the mood and production of Tunnel Vision (AMAX Remix)?

AMAX: The track is a blend of our worlds. Toska had this raw, emotional energy in the sound design. I brought in the hard house percussion and that aggressive Melbourne-style bassline. We were heavily inspired by tracks like “It’s That Time” by DJ Daddy Trance (Marlon Hoffstadt)—those high-tempo, late-night anthems that just go off in a club.

Toska: Exactly. The BPM had to be up. 150 is the new 128. It’s that faster, harder sound we both love. The remix felt like a celebration of that nostalgia meets future rave.

Let’s talk about AMAX. You’ve had a huge impact in hard dance. What keeps you pushing forward?

AMAX: I just love the grind. My track “In My Brain” chartered globally, and every release since has hit the Beatport Top 100 in its genre. But it’s not just about charts. I started Yewwie Records to spotlight emerging talent and break rules. This scene moves fast. You've got to innovate or get left behind. The self curated album Melbourne Syndicate, Vol. 1 set itself apart with its ability to resonate with a diverse audience, blending a unique mix of high-energy beats and deep, intricate sounds. Within just one month of its initial release, the album skyrocketed to #35 on Beatport’s prestigious Top 100 Overall Chart. (December, 2019)
This incredible achievement not only showcased the label’s strategic vision but also highlighted its ability to break through the noise in a competitive industry.

Toska  from Singapore to Tomorrowland. How does it feel?

Toska: It’s surreal. I played Tomorrowland in 2024, and that was a game-changer. Plus, being selected for the Martin Garrix JBL Music Academy out of 20,000 artists worldwide gave me a platform to take my sound global. Singapore's scene is rising, and I want to bring that energy to the world.

What’s next for both of you?

AMAX: More collabs, more chaos. I’m working on a follow-up release and expanding my label's reach.

Toska: I'm diving deeper into that fast, melodic-techno space. More live shows are coming, and I want to push even harder into uncharted sonic territory.

Tunnel Vision (AMAX Remix) is out now on all platforms.

Whether you're blasting it through your portable JBL or dancing under Tomorrowland lights, this track is proof that good music knows no borders—just BPM.
