On what would be the second round in February 2018, continuing from High Contrast last month, Alix Perez, the fashionista of the minimal drum'n'bass world, is finally coming to Japan for the first time, and making his first appearance at 06S!! Hailing from Belgium, Alix Depaw, also known as Alix Perez, has won "BEST NEW COMER LABEL" in the 2017 "DRUM'N'BASS ARENA AWARDS" as the most advanced new label, and presides over 1985 MUSIC. His high level of quality and minimalist musicality of refined taste has won over the hearts of many crowds, and it can be said that he is currently one of the most innovative DJs/producers of the new generation.
He released his debut album, "1984," in 2009 from Shogun Audio, a label presiding over DJ FRICTION, and made a leap into the spotlight. After that, he accomplished collaborations with top artists of the electronic music world such as Noisia, Foreign Beggars and dBridge. He released the EP, "Surplus One," at Bandcamp in early 2015, and his pioneering work that went beyond the boundaries of the genre solidified his reputation as an experimental and progressive artist.
