Songwriter and Producer Bilgi acquired his basic music knowledge in the 1990s at the former ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music) in Zurich.
In 2014 he decided to change his life to devote a large part of his time to his passion, music. In the same year, he founded the project “Project 8309” with his daughter, which aims to support local artists voluntarily. With their productions, they were able to record over 2 million visits to their YouTube channel and win over 4,000 subscribers.
To deepen his musical knowledge, he started studying songwriting and music production at the Berklee College of Music in 2017. His work as a composer, mixing and mastering engineer or producer are found in bands' songs such as “Beecher’s Fault,” “punktsieben,” or “Frische Fische.”
Bilgi started his solo career under the name of “dezabel” in 2019. He produces his songs in rural Oberwil in the Zurich Unterland and works with fellow students from the United States and Great Britain. His music is a fusion of pop / R&B / jazz and film music.
