“I have been wanting to make a documentary about the experimental Jamaican dancehall collective Equiknoxx, but I was having a hard time figuring out how to tell their story. Somewhere in that netherworld state before you fall asleep, I realized that I was going about telling this story all wrong. Instead of using a traditional documentary format, I asked Equiknoxx to make up some Jamaican Tall Tales, Like Aesop's fables, but with a patois twist and maybe a touch psychedelic. I knew it was a lot to ask, but Equiknoxx came through with some amazing poetry far beyond my wildest expectations. Dillon Moore did an amazing job bringing these stories to life.” - Shane McCauley
