米津玄師君に会ったのは、多分去年の冬だったと思う。ベルリンから日本に遊びに来た友達とご飯を食べた後、バーに行こうという話になり。バーの奥の席に座るとカウンターに見慣れた背の高い男の子が座っていた。どこかで彼を見たことあるなぁと思っていた。帰る間際に確信に変わり「米津くんだよね？」と声をかけたらお互いわーとその偶然に驚いて不思議な化学反応にエモい時間を過ごせた。残念ながら僕は友人と一緒に帰らなくちゃいけなくて、あまり多くの時間を一緒に過ごせなかった。それが心残りだったのであの時のつながりをもう一度取り戻したくて今日はこの曲を歌いました。米津くんの音楽の不思議な「うねり」が好きです。
I think it was last winter when I met Kenshi Yonezu. A friend visiting Japan from Berlin and I had dinner together, and afterward, we decided to go to a bar. As we took a seat in the back, I noticed a tall guy sitting at the counter who looked strangely familiar. I kept wondering where I had seen him before.
Just as we were about to leave, my suspicion turned into certainty. I called out, “You’re Yonezu-kun, right?” We both went, “Wow!”—surprised by the coincidence—and ended up sharing an unexpectedly emotional moment, like some kind of mysterious chemical reaction.
Unfortunately, I had to leave with my friend, so we didn’t get to spend much time together. That’s something I’ve always regretted. Wanting to reconnect with that fleeting moment, I decided to sing this song today.
I love the strange “undulating flow” in Yonezu-kun’s music.

ROTH BART BARON（ロットバルトバロン）は、シンガーソングライターの三船雅也を中心とする日本のロックバンド。これまでに４枚のEPと最新作”８”を含む８枚のオリジナルアルバムを発表。海外フェスにも多く出演、日本では2023年に２度目となる FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL にも出演した。
2020年、５th AL『極彩色の祝祭』収録のリード曲「極彩｜IGL(S)」はテレビ朝日系「関ジャム∞完全燃Show」番組内にて音楽プロデューサー・蔦谷好位置の年間１位に選出。2021年はポカリスエットCMがきっかけとなったアイナ・ジ・エンドとの２人組アーティストA_oによる「BLUE SOULS」が話題に。2022年、ベルリン国際映画祭でアムネスティ国際映画賞を受賞した映画「マイスモールランド」の劇伴音楽と主題歌を手掛けた。
また 2024年8月4日には、毎年恒例となっている夏の単独イベント＜BEAR NIGHT 5＞を主催し、本年は東京・LINE CUBE SHIBUYA（渋谷公会堂）にて、塩塚モエカ（羊文学）、Salyu、崎山蒼志、YONCE（Suchmos, Hedigan's）が参加し大盛況のうちに幕を閉じた。
そして11月25日には NHK 総合テレビにて「tiny desk concerts JAPAN」が放送.この秋から1st AL『The Ice Age』から10周年を祝い、全国ツアー「ROTH BART BARON 10th Anv TOUR 2024-2025 / Ice Age : Melt and Blooms」を開催する。
ROTH BART BARON is a Japanese folk-rock band led by singer-songwriter Masaya Mifune. The band was formed and has been based in Tokyo, Japan.
The band has released four EPs and eight original albums. The 1st LP, "The Ice Age," was recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Brian McTear (Kurt Vile, the War on Drugs) and mix engineer Jonathan Low (The National, Taylor Swift). The 2nd LP, "Atom," was recorded at God Speed You! Black Emperor's studio, “Hotel2tango,” in Montreal, Canada. The 4th LP, "The Name of the Beasts," was awarded the grand prize at Japan's alternative music awards, "APPLE VINEGAR - Music Award -2020". In 2021, the song "BLUE SOULS" by A_o, a duo of artists featuring Aina the End, garnered 3.7 million views on YouTube.In 2022, they composed the music and theme song for the film “My Small Land,” which won the “Amnesty International Film Award” at the “Berlin International Film Festival 2022.”
In 2023, they participated in numerous major music festivals in Japan, including the "FUJI ROCK Festival 2023." On October 18th, they released their 8th original album titled "8" and announced the "ROTH BART BARON TOUR 2024-2025" in Japan.
