I've recently been reading up on definitions of Trance music which may sometimes be considered the most ambiguous genre of dance music. "Trance is usually characterised as having anthemic, epic, rifting and psychedelic qualities with the term "Classic" for those songs that would truly describe what Trance was supposed to be."

Whilst I would generally agree with the description, Classics are subjective and it is down to personal preference. Good and bad music is what it has always been about for me. The good music is able to stand the ultimate test of time and even after many years, listeners can still clearly recall that distinct vocal hook or melody in the back of their minds.

I'm pleased to introduce you to the second volume of Classic Trance. I had a lot of fun reliving cherished memories whilst creating this mix during lockdown. The variety of tracks selected worked really well together and from the very start of those 3 hours, it clearly sets the tone of greater things to come. It's like a hypnotic rush of Trance bursting with all that energy and excitement!!
