New York is usually crowned for being the city that never sleeps, but Roppongi was also buzzing with Tokyo neon city lights and of course the one and only Maruba-beach chic DJ TIGER LILY!



On the exact same today at ELE Tokyo in Azabujyuban, just a station away from Roppongi, DJ Eva Shaw was partying it up as being the only female resident DJ at Hakkasan Las Vegas.
 
Although there were several shows in the district, iFLYER has picked DJ Tigerlily’s V2 Tokyo for this week’s live report.
 
V2 Tokyo was filled with club-goers and party peeps till midnight but once DJ Tigerlily made her debut at V2 the crowd was massive. With people waiting in queue for at least an hour outside. We can say her show was a success.
 
While supporting resident DJs of V2 Tokyo were heating up the crowd, DJ Tigerlily and her tour manager/photographer Sam Evans crawl behind the DJ booth.


 
Fans realize straightaway and ask for selfies and Tigerlily. With her radiant smiles she does not hestitate to take selfies for each fan from the DJ booth. Those photos must be up on Instagram now. Everybody don’t forget to hashtag #teamunicorn!
 
Once she breaks the crowd by playing hit tunes on the turntable the whole crowd just turnt up. Literally turnt up. From Calvin Harris & Disciples ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, Omi ‘Cheerleader’, The Weeknd ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’, Showtek ‘How To Party’ to Ellie Goulding ‘Outside’ her set was an amalgamation of pop to house. Deliberately choosing tracks and matching each pop tune to the crowd’s heart beat her selection of songs for the Tokyo crowd just kept the whole crowd going on till the AM zone.
 
But it wasn’t just her songs. She was one of those artists who actually focused on turning the tables rather than just shouting out ‘put your hands up’ the whole time. She was literally a sunshine with positive vibes throughout the whole set! Smiling while turning the tables, giving out shiny DJ TIGERLILY stickers (perfect for Macbooks!) it was evident that her love for her fans was real. One girl who was dressed up just like her with the exact same hairstyle and customized message board had featured a lot in her social media videos and she kept on mouthing the words ‘I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!’
 


Not one single person could be unhappy or be a drag at the show. Something about her personality is definitely reflected in her DJ play which then creates a TIGERLILY atmosphere throughout the venue.
 
She finished her set with her first single ‘Feel The Love’, an electrifying sunshine summer-bound tune. This one is bound to be a festival banger. She’s already hinted at a new track through her Instagram account where she captions about adding vocals to a track she had produced a year ago. Spot on Langakwai inspirations.
