Wolfgang's Steakhouse was established in Manhattan in 2004 by Wolfgang Zwirner, who had worked at a prestigious steakhouse in New York for over 40 years. Wolfgang's Steakhouse quickly became a thriving restaurant with its delicious steaks, and is extremely popular in New York, Waikiki, Miami, and Beverly Hills as an "exquisite steakhouse" that even the most discerning of diners can't resist. In Japan, there are five restaurants in Roppongi, Marunouchi, Osaka, and other locations.
And in December 2022, it was announced that "Wolfgang's Steakhouse" will open the world's first new teppanyaki brand, Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener Teppan.
The new brand "Wolfgang Steak TEPPAN" was developed with a view to global expansion while incorporating the know-how and world view cultivated at Wolfgang's Steakhouse, and the new restaurant in Ginza, Tokyo, will be the first to open in the world.
The concept is "Enjoying the finest steaks on the teppan, with Wolfgang's Steakhouse's focus on quality, maturity, and grilling". The interior incorporates Japanese elements based on the spirit of "Zen," and the teppan is placed in a gorgeous yet sophisticated space.
Wolfgang's Steakhouse uses only rare beef that is rated "prime grade" by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The meat is purchased chilled, not frozen, and is dry-aged for 28 days in the restaurant's dedicated aging room under constant temperature and humidity control. The meat is then cut into thick slices, baked in the oven at 900°C, and served directly to the table.
