To celebrate the publication of "DEKOTORA-Spaceships on the Road in Japan-," a book of photographs of decotra that photographer Junji Hata was drawn to 15 years ago and has continued to photograph, Daikanyama Tsutaya will hold a "DEKOTORA Fair" from January 20 (Fri.) to February 3 (Fri.) and Ginza Tsutaya from February 4 (Sat.) to February 28 (Tue.). The "DEKOTORA Fair" will be held at Daikanyama Tsutaya from January 20 (Fri.) to February 3 (Fri.) and at Ginza Tsutaya from February 4 (Sat.) to February 28 (Tue.).
At Daikanyama Tsutaya, the actual DEKOTORA will be on display on January 21 (Sat) and 28 (Sat).
The decotra, which caused a huge boom in the 1970s with the movie "Truck Bastard," is no longer in danger of extinction. These one-of-a-kind vehicles, with their painted and decorated bodies, are now attracting worldwide attention as Japanese pop art.
In addition to the photo book, a limited number of original T-shirts will be available for purchase in the store, and the actual decotra will be on display on the main street and parking lot of Daikanyama Tsutaya. Whether it is a dream or a phantom, this is a great opportunity to experience the decotra that takes us to another world.
