Gianluca Vacchi was born in Bologna, where he still lives, on August 5, 1967. Spending his winter holidays in Cortina, he began skiing at the age of four, driven by his mother. At seven he won the first races establishing himself as one of the greatest Italian promises in the discipline. Hence his definitive transfer to Cortina, and it’s there that up to the eighteen years he carried on his well-started sporting career. At the age of sixteen he could already boast a respectable list of achievements, such as the victory of the Italian giant slalom championships, the first place at the Youth Games and the seventh place at the School World Championships.
At the age of 17 he felt the need to change his life, driven by the desire to excel in the business world like his father. He left the world of skiing and came back to Bologna, where he finished his studies and started at university. He then graduated in Economics and Business.
He began making the first financial transactions at the age of 22, the age at which he saw in IMA (a modest company that produced machinery for industrial packaging of which the family held a majority stake) the key to success. He was convinced that this sector would have a dizzying development in a short time. At 25 he then acquired 30% of the company, becoming the majority shareholder, then dividing the share capital with the three closest cousins, who got 70%.
He assumed the role of manager of the same company, making it rise in value from the initial 70 billion to more than 400 billion lire in the space of 4 years.
He therefore favored IMA's entry into the stock market and then, at the age of 29, left his management role looking for new personal stimuli. Today, Gianluca is still member of IMA’s Board Of Directors and still holds 30% of it.
He then decided to abandon his managerial career to devote himself entirely to the world of investments; thanks to the gained experience, he successfully invested (over the following years) in companies spread over 12 different sectors, such as watches, caravans and last minute trips. His flair for business and his great forecasting ability allowed him to significantly increase his heritage.
In 2013, at the age of 46, he opened an Instagram account and began, basically as a joke, to reveal to the world the many facets of his life: from assiduous training, to the passion for luxury and fashion, to the fun attitude, to the love for dance and music. Within 5 years he reached 14 million followers, confirming himself as one of the most popular influencers in the world.
From this social notoriety Gianluca then founded the "GV Lifestyle" brand, with a motto that made him even more famous and recognizable in the world: "ENJOY".
Subsequently, driven by a passion for music, Gianluca began a new career as a DJ and in a short time he achieved such success to allow himself to regularly play in the most famous clubs in the world.
