Sakaguchi's father is famous wrestler Seiji Sakaguchi and his brother is Kenji Sakaguchi. At 30 years old he dreamt of becoming a mixed martial artist, and debuted at pancrase. After joining Hard Hit in 2012, he was scouted by Sanshiro Takagi and made his dream come true by becoming a pro-wrestler. On 1 October 2014, after ranking 17th at the DDT Dramatic General Elections he appealed directly to Takagi and officially became affiliated to DDT.
