CHILL PUNK? ACID WAVE? NOISE POP?
Damage was birthed in Osaka on April Fool’s day in 2003. The members: Chem on drums, Mario on bass keytar, MxRxMxN on guitar, 2CH on synth, and vocalist ATSUSHI SWAN. Damage is described as an electronic punk dance band, and their performance on the stages that elevates the audience to the highest degree is comparable to Primal Scream, The Flaming Lips, and even Boredoms.
They have ever shared stages with UNKLE, Simian Mobile Disco, Digitalism, Peter Hook & The Light performing Joy Division, The Faint, and so on. They also performed at SXSW 2008 in Austin, Texas. Moreover, they played on one of main stages at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’11, where they shared the stage with Darren Emerson, DJ Hell, and System 7.
They have released 4 albums: “Signal NewYork” (2006), “Coming Soon” (2009), “Mouth To Mouth” (2011), and “Quadrophenix”(2013) , and also 2 remix albums: “Mud Mix” (2007) including a remix by Justin Pearson (of The Locust, All Leather, Retox), who is featured on The Bloody Beetroots ‘Romborama’, and “Coming Soon Remixes” (2009) including a remix by Mark Stewart (of The Pop Group).
