KAI started djing since 1996 when he was still in teens. Based in Niigata, northern city facing the Japan Sea, he acquired residency in various local clubs including a few of his own nights. He was charge in residency at Under Water Bar Praha for about 4 years with 8 hour set that impressed his ability to audience. His DJ sets consist of latest tech house, techno, house but his signature being ‘tribal’, KAI always keeps the groove on the dance floor to please the crowd wherever he plays.
Now, he play ’’DAWLON’’ party as his base, he also played in Tokyo clubs and all over the country that today he plays nearly 40 gigs a year.
KAI’s radio show on FM KENTO (Niigata local FM station) on every Wednesday ‘feel.K’ is a popular show to catch what’s new in the scene, and KAI also provides his mixes to TV stations and various dance music websites.
From 2009, KAI also has a studio partner TAWARA who does graphic design, VJ, and DJ. Their unit PHAN PERSIE released their original tunes from Ko Kimura’s FUTIC RECORDINGS TOKYO as well as BOSEKI.STUDIO and received well reviews. They released over 30 titles from the dance music labels on Japan, Germany, and Spain.
In 2016, He established his own label “ONEWARD RECORDS” and transmit his groove from Niigata to the world. March 22 2017,He has released 1st album「AMORPHISM」.
