Murlo
MurloはUKのミッドランドで育ち、現在はロンドン在住のプロデューサー、DJ、映像作家である。
カラフルでユニークが特徴、ダンスホール、ソカ、ガラージ、ベースライン、グライムの要素をダンスミュージックに取り入れている。
2013年にUnknown to the Unknownからデビューして以来、Glacial Sound, Rinse Recordings, Oil Gang,からリリースを重ね、2014年の後半にブルックリン拠点のレーベルMixpakに参加し『Jasmin』という最初の作品は国際的に広く知られた。DJとしてMurloの人気は急速に高まっている。2014年にはCameoの「Xtra Talent」ショーケースの一環でBBC 1 Xtraのショーがあり最近ではNTS Radioのマンスリーレジデントで着実にリスナーを増やしている。
2015年に2nd EP ‘Odyssey’をMixpakより発表し、それはフルインストゥルメンタルで大胆且つ芸術的であると批評され話題となった。2015年、彼の北米デビューツアーは大成功を納め、更なる活躍が期待されている。2017年、久しぶりとなる来日ツアーに期待が高まる。

Murlo is a producer, DJ and visual artist from the UK, raised in the Midlands and now residing in London, recently shooting up through the ranks to become one of the country’s most talked about electronic musicians. Specialising in a very unique brand of intricate, colourful dance music, Murlo’s hugely varied output is informed in equal parts by his love of dancehall, soca, garage, bassline, grime and more.

With recent releases on Glacial Sound, Rinse Recordings, Oil Gang and Unknown to the Unknown, Murlo joined the Brooklyn-based Mixpak label in late 2014. The first product of this partnership, a vocal record called ‘Jasmine’, was warmly received, enjoying extensive international coverage. He’s about to drop the second EP ‘Odyssey’ - a full instrumental record and his boldest artistic statement to date.

As a DJ, Murlo’s reputation is rising fast - in 2014 he presented a run of shows on BBC 1Xtra as part of Cameo’s ‘Xtra Talent’ showcase, while more recently his monthly residency on NTS Radio has gathered a loyal listenership. His debut North American tour earlier this year was a huge success, taking in 15 dates across the USA and Canada.
