Born in the Indian Ocean on the island of Mauritius, Ravin was brought up by a traditional Hindu family. He moved to France as a teenager where he developed his childhood passion: music. He began working in a music shop in Paris, which cultivated his interest in dance music and club culture. This explains his music style; the mixture of the eastern air of his youth with the electronic sound of his new home in Paris.
At the end of the 80s, Ravin become resident DJ at the Rex, Boy and Bains Douches and immersed himself in the exciting high tech wave that would engulf the world.
The opening of the Buddha Bar, Paris in 1997 marked a turning point in Ravin’s music direction. The magical atmosphere of this temple-like place harmonised perfectly with Ravin’s personality and artistic taste. More than decade, while Ravin still remains resident DJ at the Buddha Bar Paris, his growing international reputation has taken him to far off places where he regularly appears in some of the world’s most cuttingedge clubs, also playing at Jean Paul Gauthiers Fashion Show, private parties for Sting or for the most exclusive brands as Bvlgari, Armani, and many more.
