The opener was none other than Meat Beat Manifesto’s lead man Jack Dangers who inspired Devious to seek out the scene in his hometown of Denver. "I still remember my first rave, back in '98 – it was the Sun party in Evergreen, CO. It was a culture shock I couldn’t get enough of. If you were there, you know!"
Since then, Devious D has been deep into house music, with tastes going all across the board - progressive to tech, vocal to funk and everything deep in between.
As a college student, D spent most of his time in Fort Collins Colorado. It was there that he acquired his first break into the scene with a residency at Club Static. He soon thereafter joined The Beatpimpz crew. Since then he’s performed at most of Denver’s top nightspots including Beta, The Church, Vinyl, The Shelter, The Funky Buddha, Purple Martini, Lotus, 2AM, City Hall and many others. DeviousD was a part of the famed Twenty40 crew as well as Lavish Nightlife and has started his own label Soul Residue.
