Ed Sheeran (born Edward Christopher Sheeran in Halifax, England on February 17, 1991) is a British singer-songwriter. After performing relentlessly around England in his teen years, Ed moved to Los Angeles with no money and no contacts, where he was discovered at The Foxxhole by Jamie Foxx. Foxx was so impressed, he let Ed use his studio to record his songs.
