Southampton born James Zabiela's skills as a DJ were first unearthed in 2000, when he won Muzik Magazine's 'Bedroom Bedlam' competition 2 years in a row, which soon helped him to earn him the attention he deserved by signing to House legend Sasha's 'Excession' agency. Since then he has made quite a name for himself, gaining worldwide recognition as a DJ and producer.

Known for his break inspired tech-house and flawless production skills, Zabiela's path to the upper echelons of the electronic music scene has been inspired by his technical wizardry on the CDJ's, utilising a myriad of gadgets to make each and every audience member feel as though he is playing solely for them. To witness a James Zabiela DJ set is truly a thing of beauty that makes clubbing real again. Just how influential Zabiela has become can be seen by his work with Pioneer, playing an important role in the development and testing of their new DJ products, as well as his highly sought-after remix and production work for the likes of Royksopp, Orbital and Luke Vibert.

James took a step back from studio production last year to concentrate on touring, appearing at the greatest clubs and festivals the world over. During his hectic tour schedule he still found time to work... most notably he cut a perfect, deep-bass mix for Resident Advisor, re-mixed Hot Chip's 'How DO You Do It', and curated 4 nights at Space in Ibiza, inviting acts such as Modeselektor, Shackleton and Scuba. 2012 culminated in the fruition of his new label, Born Electric, and December saw the label's debut release; Zabiela's own single The Healing, a surprisingly deeper and more melodic piece of music, something that fans did not expect but certainly loved!

With Born Electric looking certain to shine as THE label in 2013, and this is a huge year for Zabiela...
