Nigeriaの雄、Fela Anikulapo Kutiが提唱した音楽”AfroBeat”を継承するバンド。バンド名であるJaribuとは、スワヒリ語で”挑戦する”、という意味で、Felaの精神を受け継ぎつつ、 世界各国のAfroBeat系アーティストとコンタクトを取りNeoAfrobeatのアプローチを模索、展開している。2009年4月にはSoulGardenRecordsより1stAlbum を発表。
2009年7月には国内最大級の野外イベント"FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL09"出演!!!

JariBu Afrobeat Arkestra Instrumental band based on Afrobeat. Spiritually influenced by Fela Kuti, "JariBu" originates "Neo Afrobeat", mixing with Funk and Jazz as the name of the band comes from "Try" in Swahili.In April 2009, released the 1st album "Afro Sound System".
