At the age of 14, DJ Mo Beatz acquired his name from making beats with his hands on the school lunchroom table as his peers rapped to his creative melodies. Soon after, his love for music pulled him into the world of DJing and he entered his first DJ battle; this proved to be something grand. With a prestigious panel of judges, including official elite Detroit on-air radio mixer DJ Kim “The Spin-Doctor” James noticing Mo Beatz’ talents was inevitable. Considering the fact that his native city of Detroit carries the tough standards of success in the music industry, Mo Beatz combined his passion for music and DJing skills to take on the challenge. Inspired and influenced by legends such as DJ Don Q, DJ A-Track, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Blast and more have helped mold Mo Beatz into the successful DJ and individual he is today.

After breaking into the music industry, Mo Beatz began receiving valuable knowledge and guidance that would soon land him an internship with FM98 WJLB which led to a weekly mixer position with the popular Detroit station. His ability to cater to a wide range of audiences is what makes Mo Beatz so gifted; this gift has encouraged him to spin at events ranging from age 18 and up parties, college on-campus events, multicultural venues and large events. His first spot on the radio station shortly led to an array of opportunities including spinning at the world renowned Toronto’s Carabana Festival in 2006, being the youngest DJ to attend the 2005 Power Summit in the Bahamas, hosting and DJing official Adidas in-store events during the 2007 All Star Weekend in Las Vegas and countless concerts and concert after parties for some of music’s biggest names such as Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane and others. Now the official Tour Dj for Def Jam recording Artist "Big Sean", Mo Beatz is now currently touring the United States with Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and other artists for a 4 month tour ending August 2011.
