Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia's most talented and sought after music producers, he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary dance music.
As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, he has left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha - Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work.
His "Fate of the Modern Architect" EP on Melbourne's Chameleon Recordings contains Jamie's characteristically quirky percussive and bass-heavy sound which joins his long list of recognised remixes he created for the likes of Booka Shade, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, D.Ramirez, Deepchild, and Antix amongst a host of others. Jamie's productions are no stranger to praise from the biggest names in the industry: Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Adam Beyer, Danny Howells and Thomas Schumacher have all been supporters of the Jamie Stevens sound. These finely tuned club remixes appear regularly on seminal radio shows BBC1's 'Essential Mix' and John Digweed's 'Transitions'.
Forever striving to create those special moments in the peaks and the plateaus, Jamie's DJ performances are laced with his own specially produced re-edits, tools and loops. His sets are best described as an expression of his personality containing a swag-load of bounce, always diverse and charged with all-important tension, release and atmosphere.
