Influenced by New York radio shows such as Timmy Regisford’s Kiss FM and WBLS, DJ MOGI began his career as a DJ in the late ’90s. In 2002, he was chosen as the resident DJ for Dress (now Club Cocoa) in Hakodate, Hokkaido, where he officially launched his career.
Since then, he has been active for over 20 years in his hometown of Hakodate, focusing on the New York House style. DJ MOGI has shared the stage with global legends such as Timmy Regisford, Danny Krivit, and Francois K. In particular, his close personal relationship with Timmy Regisford continues to be a significant musical influence on him.
Currently, DJ MOGI has expanded his activities to major cities across Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Okinawa, as well as Asia, including Hong Kong and South Korea, and even to New York. His deep, soulful selections and overwhelming groove continue to captivate dance floors in various cities.
