Born in the musically and culturally vibrant country of Brazil, Wesley Razzy, learned to play the drums and trumpet at the tender age of 5. Now he’s based in the underground hubs of London and Ibiza where he has firmly planted himself as one of the most welcome and talented newcomers of the last few years.
In London, Wesley joined the highly-touted Rhythmatic crew, becoming a resident with them three years ago, where he has played beside some of the world’s greatest, including Sven Vath, [Arpiar], Marco Carola, Onur Ozer, Cassy, Roman Flugüel, Fumiya Tanaka, Davide Squillace and many more. He’s also a resident at London’s Coconut Ritz, and has been a regularly listed name for nights like WetYourSelf at Fabric, headlining its incredible Room 1 and has already played twice with the legendary Cocoon Heroes at their London showcase party. Other events this young Brazilian has rocked over the years are Down Under, Maggie’s (Paris), Cavo Paradiso UK Tour, Mixmag party, Big Vinyl Circus, UWannaEscape (Ibiza), Jaded After Hours among others... All this demand has seen Wesley in places all across the UK, Paris, Ibiza, Italy and in his home country, Brazil.
Not satisfied with residencies, amazing guest performances and touring, Wesley has decided to turn his attentions and talents to music production. Having graduated as an electronic sound engineer at internationally acclaimed SAE, Wesley has his first release due to be out in 2013. But in true renaissance style, Wesley doesn’t just focus on music, occasionally contributing to Housemag Brazil interviewing top international artists such as Roman Flugüel and Simon Baker, rounding out his résumé.
With a solid understanding for the importance of world class beats and deep, mind-bending atmospheric sounds, blending his influences of Detroit techno and German minimal-house, it’s easy to see why Wesley has been and will continue to be one of the most capable young artists the underground has seen, always able to amaze a crowd from start to finish.
