SoundByte is a London based italian dj and producer.
Active for almost 10 years as a DJ in Italy, he moved to London in 2010 to join a 3 years Bmus course in music production, performance and business at the London Centre of Contemporary music and eventually become part of the vibrating electronic-music scene of the Capital.

EARLY DAYS
SoundByte moved his first steps in the word of electro music when he was just a kid.
It was in his native town Palermo in the early 2000s at the age of 14 that he started attend his first house parties, suddenly being enchanted by the catchy grooves of house music.
From that point he starts to diligently attend events taking place in his town, sometimes even traveling few hours to the well known floor-fillers destination of Taormina and his famous clubs Touva', Marabu' and Taitu'.

2000-2005
It's in this period that SoundByte start to play regulary in the main venues of his town such as the Movida, the Goa, the Bier Garten and the Twins, having the chance to meet and opening for some of the best DJs in the House/tech-house/techno circle of the time like Roger Sanchez, Stefano Noferini, Claudio Coccoluto and many others.
At the same time his need for new sounds and new ideas pushed him to look out of the border.
His permanence in Germany (2002) and Spain (2004-2005) gave him the chance to get in touch whith a lot of new artists, geners and sounds and to attend some of the biggest electronic-music festivals in the last decade, such as the Love Parade in 2002 and the FIB in 2004, eventually contributing to forge his techno-house sound.

2005-2009
At the age of 19 he moves to Bologna, renowned for his clubs (The Link, livello57), where he stays for 4 years till 2009.
These years are characterized by a slight change of style, due to more electro reggae and drum n' bass influences that the city of Bologna was offering him (gigs of all sort were taking place in Bologna at that time, form Aphex Twin to Kenny Ken, from the Teknambull to the Mighty Crown and many more).
During a period of 2 years he plays even opening once for Dj Hype at the Bier Garten in Palermo.

2009-2012
But the game is just about to begin, and his move to London reveals his true passion for slower tempos and refined sounds, along with wide use of vocals and driving basslines.
His style is constantly evolving, but listening to his always great sets you could easily make out what his main influences are: Maceo Plex, Jamie Jones, LeeFoss, and relative lables: Hot Creation, Ellum Audio.
He certainly knows how to rock the dancefloor, that's for sure...
In 2011 starts his collaboration with Codekontrol Crew, which led him to play alongside some of the best artists in the field like Namito, Wbeeza, Daniel Stefanik, Steffen Deux, Markus Fix, Lovebirds.
