Black Blood is a pulsating, hard-core band with its main genre being reggae music.
Known for its diverse sound, Black Blood employs the services of professional musicians and guest artists to accompany it`s live performances. However depending on the venue or the promoter’s request Black Blood does perform as a duo or acoustic style, showing the versatility of the band.
Bassheart and Imanuel have been performing together spanning over three decades. In the early 90`s they performed at live house in Tokyo, Java Jive and Hot Crocket for over two years as resident band. They also toured Japan as ‘Emanuel and The Redemption Posse’ under the Japanese record company named Alpha record in the mid 90`s. 1994 saw them touring as backing band for artist Garnet Silk. And the movement continues. The year 2008 saw the production and release of Imanuel`s album, Deep Within on which Bassheart played an integral part of the production process, they then went on to perform on the 2008 Reggae Sumfest. Having own and operates individual recording studio in Jamaica, they sometimes assist each other in recording and production for their individual label.

Imanuel is a graduate of the Alpha Academy in Kingston Jamaica. He is a versatile musician, vocalist, composer and producer.
As a vocalist/Composer Imanuel has release to date four albums namely: Aspects Of Love, Love's Attraction & Rasta Love (for Alpha Records Japan) and Deep Within (Indies). He has performed on major Jamaican reggae festivals, Sting (2007, 2008)and Reggae Sumfest (2008) As a musician he has toured with artist such as, The Skatalites, Dennis Brown, U-Roy, Max Romeo, Ras Micheal, Mystic Revealers, Mighty Diamonds, PJ Band, Sanshiro to name a few and has played alongside musicians such as Earnie Ranglin, Chinna Smith, Tyrone Downie. He has produced artist Yuki Koyanagi.

He is a versatile musician, vocalist, composer, producer and also does engineering. After graduating from high school, Bassheart began his professional music career working in various hotels on the north coast of Jamaica. During this time he had the opportunity of accompanying international artist such as Michael Bolton, The Beach Boys, The Thunder Bolts and Wynton Marsalis. Bassheart has toured or done studio sessions with various reggae icons such as Culture, The Heptones, The Congos, Toots Hibbert, Rita Marley,, Lady Patra, Mad Cobra, Sayoko (Zelda), Hankun (Shonan Kaze) and the list goes on. Has Produced artist such as Gregory Isaacs, Natty King, Lutan Fyah, Etana, Kiyosaku (Mongul 800) and many more. Bassheart has worked with musicians: Sly Dunbar, Joe Isaacs(Studio One), Leroy 'Horsemouth' Wallace, Style Scott, China Smith, Mikey Chung, Ernie Ranglin, Robby Lyn, Gladdy Anderson, Sticky (Wailers), Val Bennet, a list too numerous to mention. As a vocalist, Instrumentalist and producer, he released an album call 'Bring Back The Rub A Dub' (Indies) with the band 'Dem Man Deh'. Bassheart has also done backing vocals for numerous artist.
