am Homer has been DJing since he was 17 and has an extensive and eclectic selection of vinyl and digital music. This reflects the style that he plays and the music policy of his night called Room 101.
His musical influences stretch from funk, soul, disco to all variants of house and techno.
Sam has played in and around Birmingham for almost 18 years for brands like Eclectricity, Ministry of Sound, Spectrum, Sundissential, Gods Kitchen, Ultra +, Spin Out. He’s also played in some fantastic venues like the Custard factory, The Que club, The Sanctuary, Stealth, Bonds to other smaller venues in Birmingham. Other gigs include Ibiza, London, Nottingham and Derby.
Sam secured a residency at the Bearded Theory annual music and arts festival in Derby and has played at every event since it began 4 years back.
In 2010, he created his flagship night called Room101which was hosted in one of Birmingham’s premier award winning bars playing the nu disco sound pioneered by Aeroplane, Todd Terje, Greg Wilson to name a few.
