In the 2010s, the music scene had begun to transform with rapid innovations in song production. Inspired by the talented young producers of the era, the larger-than-life figures wowing crowds at festivals, DJ RYU-To began his DJ career. As an artist on the leading edge of house music, particularly in the styles heard at festivals and in night clubs, he received wide support from a multitude of sources and made his career debut in the unprecedented span of just two months. This journey began in 2014 with Kansai's largest festival, ALL MIX IN KANSAI, playing alongside some of Japan’s biggest artists. Next was MUSIC CIRCUS, sharing the stage with internationally renowned DJs such as Nicky Romero, Ummet Ozcan, and W & W. In 2016 he appeared at SUMMER SONIC, the largest urban music festival in Japan. RYU-To’s style of DJing is not simply about connecting with a wide audience, but creating an exhilarating, interactive experience. His schedule of over 250 DJ shows per year speaks to his unprecedented success. He now stands at the forefront of Japan’s growing bass movement, organizing Osaka’s premier bass music party, CLAWS. Amid this success, he also launched the acclaimed “next generation all-genre party,” BEAST. Outside of his work as a performed, in 2016 RYU-To became exclusive advisor TryHard DJ Academy, one of the largest DJ schools in Japan. In all aspects of his career, he strives to bring new energy into the club scene and constantly raise the bar. He constantly seeks fresh artists and new endeavors to broaden the stage for music in Asia. DJ RYU-To represents the next generation of artists with a bright future and limitless possibilities.
