George Chua (b.1970) is a sound artist and experimental musician based in Singapore active since the late nineties. He currently uses the modular synth as a live performance tool. He hope to create electronic music free of the anxiety of influence in which genre boundaries can be unclear, unnecessary and unpredictable. Apart from his own solo work, his collaborative interests includes live improvisation and unconventional strategies for soundtracks and sound design for film and theatre. He has composed music for films by Singapore artist/filmmaker Ho Tzu Nyen. He also participated in the first Singapore Biennale in 2006.
