A musician, singer/songwriter and producer, and maker, from jewelry to hair adornments, the “Jill of many trades” (Saint Heron), Amber Mimz, is an Artist Completely. Her first love, music, is the thread that keeps her inspired and longing to share the stories that remind us how human we are especially when it comes to love.
It took Amber a moment to find “her sound” considering she wasn’t your typical singer, but now, her music is “ever evolving and a reflection of life” [Essence.com]. Her musical foundation was discovered in arts programs in grade school in her hometown of Washington, DC and was truly nurtured at Duke Ellington School of the Arts High School, then personified at The New School University’s Jazz and Contemporary Music Program in NYC. The moment she was introduced to production it changed the way Mimz approached music and her performance. Fusing the traditions of all the greats she loved and studied since 16 years old.
