Akito attended Kasumigaura High-school, known for amateur wrestling. He is known for his traditional style of single focus wrestling. He used to be affilliated to Sportiva Entertainment, but decided to move to Tokyo and joined DDT in May 2013. He regards Shigehiro Irie, who is also a pro-wrestler from Nagoya, as his rival.
