Born in Yomitan Village, Okinawa in 1952. Kouei Tsuha's father is the world's oldest Ryukyu folk song artist "Kotoku Tsuha" who is 94-year-old this year. He made his debut from the long-established Ryukyu folk song label "Marufuku Records", and has been active not only in Japan but also in Taiwan close to Okinawa. Tsuha is working as one of the best singers in the Ryukyu folk songs scene, including the release of the song "Momoto Fumiagari(百十踏揚)" in 2012 which was created with the theme of a Ryukyu Kingdom Story "Gosamaru: Amawari no ran" in 1458....
