DJ NORI

1979 started DJing in Sapporo and then Roppongi. In 1986 he moved to New York and started DJing at Japanese restaurant FUJIYAMA-MAMA and legendary club Paradise Garage until meeting DJ Larry Levan. Nori and Larry started to play together at top 80s clubs Choice, Gas Station and Tracks. In 1990 he moved back to Tokyo for the opening of club GOLD. He sometimes plays overseas at events and clubs like Peter Pan and Rimini in Italy, Barbara Tuckers Party, Sound Factory Bar, and Cafe Con Leche in New York. His original groovy sense of mix and choice is well respected. Now Nori plays at club LOOP in Tokyo every Wednesday for the event SMOKER which boasts big guests like Satoshi Tomiie, Francois Kevorkin, Lord G and Cosmo.
DJ KANGO

DJ Kango began listening to hip hop in the late‘80s and after travelling to New York in 1992 and experiencing the club scene there firsthand he began his career as a DJ the following year. Broadening his mix sense at the monster party Red Zone in Harlem every Tuesday he has established a commanding position in the hip hop DJ fraternity, earning the right to play alongside many top overseas artists and at most of Japan’s leading venues. He is presently a member of the ROC TRAX crew and his unusual genre-less style continues to have a major influence on the Japanese club scene. He also works as a producer and on production for radio and TV. He is also noteworthy as a member of dance team ROOTS, and is an originator of the Japanese house dance style.
DJ MARR

DJ Maar is one half of Tokyo’s leading electro DJ unit DEXPISTOLS, which he forms with DJ Daruma. The artists from their label, Roc Trax gather to mark the beginning of a new movement in the city. This is a night for some sophisticated fun with a hip hop and electro soundtrack.
KIRI

Kiri established the brand Revolver in 1997, along with friends. In 2005 he relaunched started a new style with SO ME, the art director of Ed Banger Records. Recently he has been handling the music selection for boutiques and restaurants in Tokyo. A compilation produced under the REVOLVER moniker is due for release at the end of May this year.
DJ SARASA

Born in Yokohama and raised in NYC, Sarasa began working as a radio DJ in Canada in 2002. She returned to Japan in 2005, and was involved in the promotion of movies “Block Party” and “RIZE”. Her DJ sets have a performance element incorporating scratching and breakdance, and have a cosmopolitan. She is very versatile, and has a broad fan base ranging from fashion-conscious teens to former disco animals.
FRASER COOKE
In the late ‘80s, Fraser was a key figure in the hip hop and funk boom emanating from SOHO’s The Brain. He threw parties with the Gimme 5 crew at Ronnie Scott’s and ran with James Lavelle’s Mo’ Wax crew, which developed strong links with the Tokyo scene. He currently works as the global marketing director of Nike.
