Mark Knight is the chairman of TOOLROOM RECORDS, the UK's most important dance label. Since his debut in 2001 he's continuously operated at a world-class level as a DJ and producer.
As a dance music creator who started with "MAN WITH A RED FACE" (co-written with FUNKAGENDA) and "ALRIGHT" he has released a total of 50 tracks, and in recent years he worked with SANDER VAN DOORN to record the cross-genre megahit "TEN" featuring UNDERWORLD. He was also nominated for a Grammy in 2010 for his work on the BLACK EYED PEAS album "THE E.N.D."
What's more, his skills as a DJ are recognized the world over, and he makes regular appearances at large festivals like CREAMFIELDS, SENSATION, DANCE VALLEY, and EDC. In 2014 he came to Japan for ULTRA JAPAN, which was held in Odaiba for the first time. His performance on that day ranked him as one of the top DJs, and many called his the best performance of the event. His outstanding sense and technique became a hot topic of conversation.
The dance music scene has a frantic turnover rate, but MARK KNIGHT continues to shine bright with his epoch-making productions. On Sunday, May 3rd (before a national holiday) he'll join us for a premium Japanese public performance at RHYTHMHOLIC at WOMB as part of his world tour.
