A summit showdown between house legends in Japan and America
Legendary underground club Zanzibar is known for its historical achievement along with the Paradise Garage in the ‘80s deep disco culture leading up to the US house. 25 miles away from the latter, it inherited the legacy of garage sound, laying the foundation for the so-called New Jersey sound and channeling its spirit and sound into the ‘90s house. It all comes down to a DJ that makes the first appearance at Studio, Tony Humphries. Sharing the stage is Toru Takahashi. The Japanese counterpart, who brought the garage sound back to the Far East in the ‘80s, joins forces with DJ Yogurt to weave a thread that runs through the past and the present of the genre. He is also at the helm of the Contact floor, leading beloved deep house collective Godfather with Moodman and Naohiro Ukawa to offer a special incredible session.
