Double headliner lineup with the pride of Japan's Techno scene, the legendary Takkyu Ishino and modern Techno craftsman, Neel!
No need for introduction when it comes to the legendary Takkyu Ishino, who's been a longtime mainstay in the Japanese Techno scene. Also set to play is Neel, renowned for his collaboration with Donato Dozzy on "Voices from the Lake". Both are slated to play on September 21st, at VENT!
Ishino formed the groundbreaking group Denki Groove alongside Pierre Taki back in 1989. In 1995, he dropped his first solo album, which kicked off his career as a DJ. He launched himself headlong into the overseas scene, and in 1998 played the Love Parade in Berlin, the world's most massive Techno Festival, playing to 1.5 million people! From 1999 to 2013, he organized one of the biggest indoor raves in Japan, WIRE, which would get up 10,000 people attending each year! Ishino is not only famous in Japan, but also throughout the world as an accomplished DJ, producer, artist and remixer.
Now for or other headliner, Neel, he's known for his unique style that combines Techno and Ambient rhythms and textures, which has received praise from a wide array of media. His performances at Mutek and Berlin Atonal incorporated full video immersion with Ambient. Aside from his solo work, he's paired up with Donato Dozzy to release Voices from the Lake, as well.
Be sure to check out an epic night with two top acts: The legendary Techno evangelist of Japan who's spread Techno from big festivals to the living room, and the up and coming Ambient Electronic craftsman, both under one roof for an intense night, only at VENT!
