Italian techno genius Claudio PRC set to perform at Katharsis’ 7th Anniversary!


Italian techno specialist Claudio PRC has dropped many albums on a vast array of re-spected labels and has played VENT in the past as well. Now he is set to make an ap-pearance at Katharsis’ 7th Anniversary on July 9th!


Hailing from Italy, techno maven Claudio PRC has released works on such prints as Prologue, Semantica, and TGP a label founded by Ness and himself. In 2020, he estab-lished 012, a new platform focused on the study of art and sound. Last year, he re-leased work on the famous Dutch label Delsin, and has continued to be energetically prolific. Claudio PRC has always been on the bleeding edge of the scene, and we are absolutely delighted and cannot wait to have him perform for us for the first time in nearly 3 years.


Also playing: DJ KURI who opreates Dopeness Party BLACK FOREST – in recent years he has been playing hypnotic techno vibes on vinyl, which is a rarity these days – will be making his first appearance at VENT BAR! Also making an appearance in Room 1 from the Katharsis collective are Masafumi Take and Kannabi. They are well-known for calling over cutting-edge artist like Mike Parker, Luigi Tozzi, and Refracted; additional-ly, they released “Katharsis 001” and “Katharsis 002” on the label of the same name, and during the pandemic he co-hosted Liquid Drop Groove, an outdoor party which featured a splendid lineup of artists including DJ Nobu and Wata Igarashi. They have been aggressively taking the scene to new heights and enhancing its visibility through this techno collective.


Room 2 features an interesting lineup of obscure beats themed on psychedelic music, in the broadest sense. DJ YAZI, a member of BLACK SMOKER, who is notable for incor-porating a hip-hop state of mind into his own unique take on techno will be throwing down a downbeat set. The focal point of Room 2, this time around, will be the appear-ance by sound collage unit Enantiomorphs composed of olevv and adak7 who have been shaking floors in the depths of the Tokyo underground as organizers of Asakusa Pure’s -Drone Yashiki- (yashiki is Japanese for manor), a lit hotspot in the Shitamachi (old downtown) area of town. Also be on the lookout, or better yet keep your ears to the ground, for alternative vibes in the opening set by kyomi, a young and talented art-ist who leads “Yatakagami”.
