Overview:
渡體TOTEI is a transnational creative initiative co-founded by Tokyo-based artist JACKSON kaki and Taipei-based art collective XTRUX. The name “渡體TOTEI” symbolizes fluidity and transformation across body, sound, and states of consciousness. TOTEI aims to build a platform that transcends cities, cultures, and media.
Rooted in both Tokyo and Taipei, TOTEI gathers emerging creators from around the world. Through sound art, real-time visuals, electronic music, and experimental installations, it seeks to cultivate a new creative language unique to contemporary East Asia. Each performance or gathering is not merely a presentation, but a convergence of energy—a ritualistic site that explores consciousness, technology, and the dissolution of boundaries.
In December of last year, 渡體 TOTEI held its first party at Shinjuku SPACE. In 2025, the project collaborated with the Taiwanese rave collective TEMPLE MELTDOWN, drawing an audience of over 700 people. This July, TOTEI further expanded its trans-Asian collaborations by co-hosting an event with dismal, an artist collective based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, connecting creators from across the region.
To celebrate its first anniversary, 渡體 TOTEI will join forces with the Taipei-based art festival GLOWBALL FESTIVAL to present a special event at OHJO BLDG. Bridging Tokyo and Taipei—transcending borders through visuals, sound, and the shared imagination shaped by internet-born aesthetics—the event will manifest a new evolving language of sensory exchange over one transformative night at OHJO.
On the 1F floor, curation will be led by DENKAI, a collective headed by DJ Akutagawa, who also performed at this year’s TOTEI Taiwan edition. The floor will feature Taipei-based B E N N, a semi-regular DJ for TOTEI, joining forces with local DJs to create a unique synergy throughout the night.

DENKAI：
Based in Tokyo, the collective consists of three members—DJ, artwork, and management—crafting an unsettling and atmospheric world that they bring directly onto the dance floor. Their artwork draws inspiration from video game aesthetics, and its quality stands out distinctly from other creators of their generation.
