名古屋を拠点に活動するDJ/プロデューサー。 ディープハウスを軸に、ブラックミュージック由来のグルーヴと洗練されたミニマル感覚でフロアを深く導く。
For the March edition of BEYOND, we welcome HIROYUKI KATO, a DJ based in Nagoya who has consistently explored the deeper side of house music.
Rooted in deep house, Kato’s sound naturally bridges groove-oriented elements derived from Black music with a contemporary sense of minimalism.
Rather than relying on dramatic peaks, his DJing focuses on structure—carefully shaping rhythm, texture, silence, and space into a coherent flow.
It is a style developed through years of direct dialogue with the dance floor.
On this night, Kato will deliver a 3-hour long set from 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM.
This is the moment when a party has fully matured, when the relationship between music and the floor becomes most transparent.
It is within this time frame that a DJ’s philosophy and aesthetic are revealed most clearly.
The DJ mixer for the night will be the legendary UREI 1620LE.
Known for its solid low-end, dense midrange, and unmistakable analog presence, the 1620LE conveys weight and depth without excessive coloration.
Combined with Kato’s precise and deliberate mixing, the sound at BEYOND will take on a distinctly three-dimensional character.
Visuals will accompany the music throughout the night, with VJ RYU working in parallel with the sound.
The visuals are not meant to dominate, but to complement the structure of the music—enhancing immersion rather than distracting from it.
When sound and visuals align, the floor transforms from a place to listen into a space to inhabit.
Less about spectacle.
More about depth.
BEYOND – Deep Structure is an invitation to experience house music through sound, space, and physical sensation.
